Sofia Benbahmed is engaged in two battles: 1 with an eating disorder, 1 with an insurance company. You have the power to help her win both.
Last September, Sofia Benbahmed did something radical. After 12 years given over to her eating disorder, she decided to fight for her life. Following professional recommendations, Sofia sought to enter residential treatment at Monte Nido, a facility that costs more than $1000/ day. Abandoned by her insurance company, she reached out to strangers for help and managed to raise over $8000 toward treatment. In November, she entered treatment at Monte Nido, where she has fought her disease for nearly three months.
Yet, Sofia's treatment team recommends another three months of care-- and a step-down program to insure her transition out of residential does not endanger her recovery. As of now, Sofia and her family are nearing the end of their funds. Without our help, Sofia will be forced to leave treatment on February 7th, having received less than half of the care her doctors recommend.
We have the power to support Sofia's recovery and invest in her life by giving today toward her fight these next several months.

It is a long battle, but i have so much faith in you. I know that you can win this war. Of course you may lose a few battles along the way, but i know that you have the courage to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, & keep fighting.
