We wish to raise $3,000 to pay the women workers and one supervisor for six months, and to developing the packaging, storage and distribution systems for the Spirulina 4 Schools Project in the Sunderbans in Eastern India.
Spirulina for Sustainability
Fundraising target: Raise $3,000 by 1st May 2010.
I am glad to support the Spirulina 4 Schools Project in the Sunderbans in Eastern India, which is described in some detail in the Group Page at [http://www.giveforward.org/spirulina4schools]. The page provides a compelling reason to support this worthy project, which requires $7,500 to become self-sustainable. The Group has provided more information in the fundraiser page at [http://www.giveforward.org/spirulina4children/], which aims to raise $4,500 – so that the project can at least be initiated, within two to three month’s time. This leaves a gap of $3,000 required for full project sustainability.
I would like to help the Group to raise the balance $3,000: (a) $2,000 to pay the women workers and one supervisor for six months, which is the gestation period for sustainability; and (b) $1,000 for developing the packaging, storage and distribution systems. This sum of money would be needed in May 2010, hence the fundraising closure deadline of 1st May 2010.
I should reiterate that the total budget of $7,500 for 250 poor school children works out to about $30 per child – a small price to pay for the end to malnutrition for that child, in perpetuity.
Thank you very much for your support.

Hugs for Spirulina for Sustainability.
