Ruth has been fighting undifferentiated uterine sarcoma (aka high grade endometrial stromal sarcoma) since diagnosed in October 2010 while living in Vancouver, BC. Giving her full energy to fighting the rare and aggressive cancer, she has not been able to work. Mike has been pulling extra duty as primary caregiver, breadwinner and all around awesome husband, housekeeper and restricted diet chef. In order to get Ruth to doctors who are specialists in taking down this rare cancer, they returned home to Los Angeles. Even though insurance covers a good part of the medical expenses, fighting cancer is still an expensive journey. From paying out of pocket to relocate for a strong support network and sarcoma experts to the portion of chemo, blood work, doctors visits and scans that insurance does not cover, Mike and Ruth appreciate any help that can be given. This is not a panic button move, they are trusting that God will use everyone who has been so generous to pray them through this journey so far to help return them to financial health while they work toward physical health.

The $18,350 reflects our $25,000 goal, minus $6650 that was raised at a Comedy Benefit & Live Auction on October 9th, 2011.
