Help get iPad technology for Sahara and her autistic peers to aid in communication, academics, socialization, independent skills and more!

Sahara is a pre-verbal autistic six year old… she has gross communication, developmental and academic delays. Our family is recovering from a 7 month unemployment situation caused by an agency wide down-sizing last year. As a result we, like many autism families, are unable to afford an iPad for Sahara.

We have read many testimonials about how an iPad has helped many other autistic children. In fact, we know the iPad has a multitude of autism specific applications that can help aid in language & communication, academics, socialization, independent living skills and so much more.

We feel we are at a critical period in Sahara's development and that is why have decided to hold a fund-raiser to raise funds for the iPad. We hope that we can raise enough money to not only fund the iPad and applications for Sahara, but for other autism families with economic hardships. 1 in 91 kids today have autism… we need to get this equipment into the hands of those of us who do not have access to extra funds for this essential technology.

Pass this along to others who may be interested in supporting this cause. It is our intention to raise enough interest to help 5 families initially, but would like to help as many non-verbal autism families (who are experiencing economic hardship) as possible. We are raising funds until April 15th… in hopes that we can have the iPads by May 1st.
