Mae is a 32-year-old,vibrant, fun loving, positive person and mother of a two-year-old Lauren. Mae was recently diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Cancer. The doctors are trying to find the primary cause of this cancer as Mae had no symptoms but just fatigue when finding out this news.

Mae is a strong woman and has tackled many challenges in her life from raising her child, to putting herself through Radiology School, to uprooting herself and daughter to move to New York to be with the man she loves Paul.

I decided to start using my new found passion of running for good. The rest of 2010, I'm dedicating my races to her and helping her raise money. This fundraiser is to help raise money for Mae and her family with medical expenses, daily costs of living for her and Lauren, as well as Lauren's future. Mae has plenty of friends and family to support her and we thank you for supporting her, too.
