In March 2011, Roxy was diagnosed with Encephalitis, a deadly virus most commonly contracted from Mosquitos. The virus caused severe damage to her brain tissue and resulted in Spinal Meningitis.
Thankfully the damage heals, but after 21 days of intensive care and an entire summer of follow-up treatment, Roxy has been unable to work regularly and the bills are piling up.
