This fundraiser is being created by a group of Freelance Writers at the Y!CN for one of our fellow writers. Today, our friend Rissa received the diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Rissa is an amazing woman, mother, wife, and fantastic writer.

We fellow writers have come together to help her and her family raise money for the medical expenses they have ahead of them. We believe that in times like these, we need to come together to show support, both emotionally and financially.

While the Y!CN is a group of freelance writers, in a lot of ways, it is more like a family unit. We work together to support and encourage each other in our writing. At a time like this, when one of our family needs our support the most, we must come together in numbers and show the love and support our family member needs.

Rissa and her family have a big battle ahead, but with this fundraiser, we hope to be able to ease the financial burden her treatments will bring so that she and her family can focus on beating this monster.
