We wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their unwavering love, support and generosity. Mary, Billy and our entire families combined are beyond touched by the outpouring of donations, some of which are from people we don't even know. Never did we think that we would raise so much money, so quickly. We also wanted to take this opportunity to update everyone on Reagan's progress. She has now completed her first round of Chemotherapy and it was a success. Her recent blood work shows no more traces of cancer in her bone marrow! Nonetheless, there is still a long road ahead. Mary and Billy both remain stoic and positive as they place one foot in front of the other. As for Reagan, she hasn't seemed to have a bad day yet! Her adorable face, constant smile and new bald head makes her that much more squeezable.
Also, a little exciting news! We have been chosen by the directors ofGiveForward.comto be featured as one of the current success stories. The team at Give Forward are so impressed with our fundraising thus far and are so touched by Reagie's story that we will be one of a few members that are constantly featured on the company's homepage. This will give so many more people an opportunity to reach out and pay it forward. Also for those of you who don't know, Mary has set up a blog of her own through the Caring Bridge organization. It is a great way for anyone to stay updated on Reagan's progress. That website address is www.caringbridge.org/reagankeany .
We originally set a high goal of $50,000 dollars because we figured, why not? As we work hard to reach that goal we can't help but want to give forward ourselves and help others, like so many have done for us. Mary and Billy are so touched and have decided if there is money left after the medical bills have been paid, they plan on giving forward themselves; whether it be to child Leukemia research or to the amazing Cancer Floor at the Hartford Children's Hospital. So please keep passing this information along with the hopes that we can grow larger, continue to raise money and spread the love and support in little Reagan's name.
We wish you all a wonderful holiday season!!
With Love,
Michael and Ally
Welcome to "Support Reagan Keany"
November 21st, 2010
As most of you know on November 3rd, our 15 month old niece Reagan was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia). As you can imagine this has turned our sister and brother-in-laws lives upside down, but their strength and courage is remarkable. Billy, Mary, Liam, Charlotte, Reagan and the rest of our families have been so touched by your outpouring of love and support. Reagan has already been through one round of chemo and is doing great! Visiting her in the hospital is the quickest way to raise your spirits. Her positive energy, unwavering smile, and even dance moves, are contagious. We continue to be in awe and are so proud of her.

"My dear sweet great niece Reagan...I love you so much !!! Hooray!!! Hurrah!!! I am so thrilled you are going home and have finally made it thru your 5 rounds of chemo. I am so sad that you and your lovely little body has had to endure so much. Would that I could have taken on your pain for you...I would have done it in a heartbeat. You are such a courageous little girl with the most wonderful persona. Your charming yet stubborn, fighting spirit has carried you through this your first major life challenge and will stand you in good stead for all future life experiences, both good and bad. Again, I love and respect you and your mommy and daddy and Liam and Charlotte soooo much!!! You are a lucky girl to have been born into such a wonderful and loving family, especially including your grandparents and aunts and uncles. Your gammy and your mom have always been very special to me and so you and your brother and sister. I only wish i could have done more for you over the past six plus months and especially wish I could have been with you more. I so look forward to getting to know you better as you go forward in your journey and to sharing your growing up as much as I am able. You are easy to love and indeed very loved by all who have been lucky enough to have shared your young life. You are always in my thoughts."
