M.A.D. Skates is in need of portable skate ramps in order to expand our ministry and reach more kids.

Brett Spore (36) and her mom, Karen Bennett (61) are walking the Rock n Roll Half Marathon in Phoenix, AZ on January 16th to raise money for new portable ramps at M.A.D. Skates. Brett Spore is the founder and President of M.A.D. Skates and has been into fitness for most of her life. Karen Bennett was a self professed couch potato who has become an athlete in training. With her business background and doctorate in Missiology (the study of missions), Karen routinely helps M.A.D. Skates in an advisory roll.

M.A.D. Skates meets every Monday night in Kenmore, WA and reaches kids from ages 8 and up. M.A.D. Skates provides a free and safe environment for kids and teens to skate, play games, and socialize. It is our long term goal to get into a permanent location where we will expand into afterschool programs as well as skateboarding. For now, we rent a gym, bring the ramps in and out via van each week, and require portable ramps to do so.

The money raised through this fundraiser will go toward buying our first quarter pipes!

M.A.D. Skates is a 501(C) 3 non-profit corporation in Washington State.
