My puppy Athena is the first dog I have ever owned in my life. She will be seven months old in one week and is a sweet puppy who loves everyone. I took her to the vet due to her having bloody vomit and diarrhea for two days. It turns out she has the very serious Canine Parvovirus. A general prognosis for this virus is usually 50-50. I'm hoping we caught it early enough to get her all better, but it costs a lot due to the duration of the hospital stay and the aggressive medical treatment.

I live in a single parent family with a very low income, and I cannot afford her treatment on my own. Especially since I already need to buy bi-monthly medications for my ferret who has some long term medical issues.

Athena is the first dog I've ever had. I interned and now volunteer at the humane society where I got her. The longest she has ever been away from me was one night, and that was when she got payed.
