One Day, One Storm, Months of rebuild and repair
Imagine being told that you have to evacuate your home that you have lived in for 40 years. The home that you raised your family in. The home that you built all your hopes and dreams. Where you have laughed and cried. The first place you brought your children home from the hospital, where you got ready for their weddings, where you watched your grand kids play.
Now imagine it is time to go back home and the only way to get in is by boat. As you walk thru the doors of the place you have called home all these years, you see that the whole lower half of your house is destroyed.
The furniture you bought to watch tv and spend time with family is destroyed. The hardwood floors are already warped, you no longer have a furnace and hot water heater to keep the house warm or even take a hot shower or bath. The washer and dryer are gone and you need to find a place to clean your cloths. All your walls need to come down. A car is destroyed and a garage needs to be gutted along with a living room, bathroom and laundry room.
Hurricane Irene devastated the town of Pequannock, NJ. My hometown. These people were unprepared for this disaster and they lost almost everything. This could have been your neighbor, a friend of a friend, someone who you lost touch with years ago, but they need your help right now.
You can help by raising money for these people who lost all their memories in the wake of Hurricane Irene. We look forward to helping them rebuild and make new ones.
Money donated will go directly to rebuild this house in Pequannock, NJ.

9/23/2011 - UPDATE - Once again Scott Lavenburg of Lavenburg Electric has come through for us.
Lesco Plumbing of Fairfiled, NJ was over the house the other day and they sent over there estimate. I had the estimate of Lesco and Elite Oil Checked by A Sr. Project Manager from a local General Contractor who forwarded it to a friend that owns a commercial plumbing company. He looked at both estimates and he gave his seal of approval for Lesco, He had nothing but good words to say about Lesco. Elite Oil not so good words.
We need to work really hard now to make this vision a reality. Please help me support this cause by forwarding this page to a friend or donating whatever you can to this cause.

We have done a great job so far. 9 families have helped us reach $750. Thank you so much for your love and support. Thanks to them we now have hot showers with a new hot water heater.
A really nice electrical contractor contacted me and told me he would donate his time and any extra electrical stuff he had to help out my parents. This man has never met me or my family and he just wanted to help. Scott Lavenburg is coming over tomorrow at 9:00 AM to see what he could do to help.
Today in New Jersey it is 55 deg and it will only get colder as the months go on. It is time for us to focus on the furnace. We all know how cold it can get in Jersey.
It dosn't matter how much or how little your donation is but please reach into your pockets and help us keep this family warm in the coming months
