Gracie's mommy needs your help in raising money for treatment & surgery for Cancer. Please show your support for my little angel!
On March 9, 2011 Gracie, my little yorkshire terrior was diagnosed with cancer of the breasts. She is in urgent need to have surgery within the next 2 weeks.
Dr. Lawrence is very optimistic that after her surgery and treatment, she has a healthy prognosis.
My angel is down one pound in weight, making her at 8lbs. With your help this will not only provide us with a portion of the costs it will also enable Gracie to have her surgery and receive further treatment to survive this ordeal.
Gracie became a loving part of my family when she was 3 months old. She has always been a joy to be with, but more so since I had become disabled a few years ago providing me more warmth and a sense of self worth just as my children had when they were living at home.
As you can imagine, this unexpected family crisis is very emotional and draining. Life just would not be the same without her by my side. She is not just a dog, she is family, my family.

The expense for the surgery and treatments are over $1000.00. All donations will go toward the cost. I know that is a lot of money especially in today's economy and most people don't understand why we do all of this for our dogs. I just can't stand the thought that Gracie could be taken away from me if she does not have this surgery. Gracie is family, my family.
Dr. Lawrence states with the surgery she has a very positive outcome.
Your donations to give Gracie more years would be immensely appreciated.

Pre-Op/Surgery/Post-Op/Home Recovery Updates

I will notify the donors, friends, family and others of the dates and progress of Gracie's Surgery from the Pre-Op date through to her at home recovery period.
I had planned on talking with Dr. Lawrence on Tuesday, March 15 to book her Pre-Op testing and surgery dates but was unable to do so at this time. I will do so when I am close to having all the monies to pay for the pre-op testing, surgery, and Gracie's post-op treatments ie chemo therapy and any other medications he might put her on at that time.
Time is very important for Gracie so that the cancer doesn't spread any further. Dr. Lawrence believes that she will have a healthy prognosis once this process is complete.
Gracie's Health Today March 10, 2011

At this point Gracie seems to be somewhat playful at times even though she does sleep quite a bit throughout the day. Her weight was down one pound so she will be monitored closely while awaiting to have the surgery.
Please keep her in your prayers as she is such an innocent little thing. The vet said once the surgery is done that she should have a healthy prognosis providing we get it done within the next couple of weeks. We don't want this left unattended for too long, as it can progress rapidly.
