In 2007 at 33 years old Megan Caper was diagnosed with Stage IIIb colon cancer. She was self-employed and although she had health insurance and two months of living expenses in her savings account, that was no match to the medical bills she's accrued over the last few years.

She's now four years post-diagnosis and doing well. Despite the side effects from her treatment, Megan is excelling in a master's program in Occupational Therapy and is looking forward to helping others who are going through tough medical challenges. However, paying for her monthly insurance premiums (which have increased seven-fold since her diagnosis) and her portion of the co-pay for her scans while surviving only on student loans has been difficult, to say the least.

With the money raised, Megan will be able to start to pay back her medical bills. At an age where most young people are saving to buy a house or start a family, Megan and I are looking to pay off this massive debt and get back to breaking even. The thought of a house or a family seem to be a distant dream.

Will you please help Megan to get her life back, become a great Occupational Therapist, and help others? She is such a generous, patient and kind person and I know she will help lift others in their time of need. But right now is her time -- please help Megan in *her* time of need. Any amount will help.
