Patrick Landers is in the fight of his life. Please show your support and join us in our effort to raise funds for his care.
IT'S TIME TO RALLY!
On June 8, the Giants held a beautiful Ring Ceremony for all of the employees. This was a moment and an event Patrick was determined NOT to miss!
Patrick was one of the first Giants employees to be called up to the podium to shake hands and share words with the owners and receive his WELL-DESERVED 2010 World Series Championship Ring (which is absolutely stunning, by the way!)
As he faced the applause from the crowd, he took it all in and ... in true Patrick Landers' fashion... he brought the house down! Patrick pulled out his orange rally rag and put it to good use!
Needless to say, he brought the crowd out of their seats and on to their feet and there was not a dry eye in the house!!!
As we have all witnessed over the past several months, through the ups and downs, the highs and lows, the scary moments, the cherished moments, through the small steps backwards and the big leaps forward....Patrick has taken Jimmy Valvano's words to heart: "Don't give up, don't ever give up"
Patrick continues to PLAY LIKE A CHAMPION each and every day. And his source of strength and energy comes from his "Team" that is his family but also - each and every one of YOU. Our strength in numbers is working - it really is!
Patrick and Christine are forever grateful to each and everyone of you for the tremendous love and prayers, emotional support and financial support that has surrounded them since this journey began.
As one of the doctors mentioned in the beginning "This is a marathon, not a sprint" There is still a very long road ahead for Patrick but at the same time there are also medical bills to be paid! We will be ending this particular fundraiser in a few short weeks (on Patrick's Birthday!!!) so just wanted to let you all know....

A brief update:
Patrick just celebrated his 38th birthday in World Championship Style - with the Giants of course! He is getting physically stronger by the day and his energy level is absolutely AMAZING!
He is responding very well to a treatment that he's undergoing at Stanford University.
The goal is to get him well enough so that he can then be able to
successfully endure a bone marrow transplant which will likely take place in the next
6-8 weeks. This procedure will be physically and mentally demanding on both Patrick and his family. Please continue to keep them in your daily thoughts and prayers.
