Kelli is the married mom of two and in Stage 5 kidney failure. She began dialysis in 5/06 and was listed at Porter Adventist Hospital to wait for a cadaver donor transplant in 3/07.

Since then, it has been determined that she will need a living kidney donor, so we began the process of being approved into the transplant program at OHSU in Portland, OR last January. We even moved our entire family here to Oregon to facilitate the process.

We will be gaining final approval on January 20th.

At that time, they will begin to screen anyone interested in being that living kidney donor that we need.

This fundraiser seeks to cover, amongst other expenses,  the costs of her minimal month long post-transplant stay in Portland, nearby to OHSU as required as well as travel costs for her husband and children to visit her once a week from their home which is 3 hours away. Otherwise, they will not see each other for the time she is away.

Some of the many costs to be incurred include lodging, food and gas expense from the hotel to the hospital three times a week for a minimum of a month or longer until she is safe to return home.
