Ken's family and friends are uniting to raise money to help pay for his bone marrow transplant. Please show your support. <><

I have AML. Acute Myeloid Leukemia. I didn't catch it from someone or cause it by smoking, drinking or any other behavior or environmental​ reason, I just got it. Its a cancer of the blood that causes the normal white blood cells in your blood to be destructive rather than protective.​

I have been in remission for 14 months, but now the leukemia is back. I will now start over again with a 28 day stay in the hospital to get back to full remission. Once i reach full remission we will start the process for a bone marrow transplant. Our first goal with this fundraiser is to help with the expenses of this new round of treatment. The coming costs are simply to great for me to try to endure on my own, so I am reaching out for help. I thank you from the bottom of my soul for any contribution you can make.

Wow, our initial goal is almost met.  I can't thank everyone enough for your blessed generosity.  This will help a great deal with the expenses of this stay here at Bergan Mercy Hospital.  We're raising our goal to continue to help with the incoming bills.... You are all awesome!  Thank you for all you're doing for me and my family.

I am doing well, the chemo treatments are doing their job as there is no cancer present in my blood stream, and today we did a bone marrow biopsy to test if the cancer is in remission from my marrow.   We should know sometime on Wednesday the 21st.

I am on day 14 here at Bergan Mercy and we expect at least 14 more days as my immune system recovers so we are adding to our goal in order to  help cover the bone marrow biopsies, cat scans and infectious disease doctors, and begin the testing of donors for the transplant, All of these are things outside of the chemo treatments and hospital stay itself.
