Kids Are Heroes Day is held yearly at the Francis Scott Key Mall in Frederick, MD. All the children who are recognized on the Kids Are Heroes website are invited to participate. This fundraiser is to help defray travel expenses for out-of-towners.
KidsAreHeroes.com is a web site that showcases children who do exceptional things in their community. In September of 2008, the Francis Scott Key Mall in Frederick, MD sponsored their first Kids Are Heroes Day. Fifteen local children spent the day raising awareness for their causes and collecting donations for their charities. In the middle of the day, the mall gave out awards to each child. It was an incredible day. Kids Are Heroes Day 2009 will be held on Saturday, October 24th at the same location. This time we are inviting all children featured on the site to participate. Many are far away and cannot afford the travel expenses. We hope that you will help those who want to participate by donating, and asking your friends to do the same.
