Julianna, daughter of Jose and Stacy Radilla, who at the young age of 9 years old was so cruelly taken from her family last Thursday as she walked home after what was supposed to be a fun evening is in need of support. On October 20, 2011 at 5:40PM while walking her dirt bike home along side her grandmother and little brother, a woman in a van ran a red light at a rapid speed striking Julianna as she was in the middle of the crosswalk. The impact was so great that it caused both the bike and Julianna's little body to get flung up in the air and catch on fire after impact. The 23 year old driver not only strikes Julianna after running the red light, but managed to continue to drag her little body over a block further from point of impact before stopping her van. Stacy, Julianna's mother who witnessed it all happen as she waited on the other side of the street for them, ran to attempt to snuff out the flames as paramedics arrived.
Julianna was flown to U.C Davis medical center where doctors made numerous attempts to ease her pain since over 75% of her body was badly burned. Her body suffered so much trauma and after several attempts at a blood transfusion, her body was too weak to recover. Julianna Marie Radilla passed away at 2 AM on Friday morning.
Her family is asking for any support that you may be able to contribute at this point in time. The date of her funeral is pending, but it will be on Thursday October 27th or Friday October 28th in Stockton, California. She will be missed!
