Friends of Biz and Mike are raising funds to help them take their precious baby Ingrid anywhere she wants to go before she joins the angels.
I have an update to share with all of you. It is with great sadness that I report this. I will share Elizabeth's Facebook post with you all.
"I'm sorry to say that our little Ingrid will not be making it to Disney world. In fact she is going home with hospice today. Please do not think your donations have been in vain because of your generosity she will have the most beautiful funeral service and head stone she deserves with Mickey and bling. You all are more than welcome to visit it. The doc is saying 4 to 8 weeks. I will post when the service will be so everyone can come. Thank you all so much xoxo"
Please, send all the love, prayers, and kind thoughts possible. This is a very difficult time for the Rakovan/Deardoff family, and your kindness is amazing. Thank you all for being so generous and sharing Ingrid's story.
Oh, and I should also include that since Ingrid can't go to Disney World, Mickey Mouse himself will be flying to Ohio to visit her!
Some of you know Ingrid's parents, Mike Deardoff and Elizabeth (Biz) Rakovan. After tests last week, it was discovered that Ingrid's cancer isn't going away. There are so many things Mike and Biz want to show her. This beautiful, brave little girl should be able to see the beach, go to every zoo in the US if she pleases, or just every restaurant her little heart desires, and her parents should be able to take her. Please, everyone, let's help make Inga's time here some of the best she's had!

On Wednesday morning at 8:40 AM, Ingrid Elizabeth Deardoff left us to run and play in heaven. I want to thank all of you for your selflessness in sharing Ingrid's story, for your unwavering support, for you hugs, prayers, and happy thoughts. Although most of us, including me, never got to meet Ingrid, she has touched more lives than can be counted. In her short time here, she taught lessons in hours that take most of us a lifetime to learn. Some of you may be in striking distance of southern Ohio. If you would like to show support, here's what you should know:
Visitation will be on Friday, Feb. 17th, from 5pm - 7pm at the Melcher
Funeral Home, 1417 Offnere Street, Portsmouth, OH (740) 353-2808
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 18th starting at 10:30
a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 500 Market Street Portsmouth, OH
(740) 354-4551, followed by the burial at Greenlawn ......Cemetery, 1618 Offnere Street, Portsmouth, OH.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to help defray
medical, burial and other expenses. Donations can be made out to Raymond
Deardoff, in care of the Melcher Funeral Home.
