This is Indy's Cancer Fund. The funds will be used toward Indy's fight against Lymphoma.

In October 2011, our 7 year old boxer, Indiana (Indy), was suddenly diagnosed with Lymphoma. Having raised him since he was just 8 weeks old, this news was devastating and difficult to process. Indiana's cancer is aggressive and not considered "curable". However, he does not even know that he is sick. He is still a very happy, active and playful dog.

With the help and guidance of our local vet and the Animal Medical Center in NYC, we have decided to treat Indiana with chemotherapy. Indy is a perfect candidate for this form of treatment; he is young, vital and otherwise in great health. He is hungry. And farty. And silly. And loving. And very much attached to his younger sister, Amelia (who hates to be separated from him). These are just a few of the many reasons why we must fight for him. Indy still has so much life to live.

The chemotherapy treatment (which does not have the same side effects on dogs as it does on people) will likely have Indy in remission within six months, and allow him to live the rest of his life, albeit shortened, happy and comfortable.

Many of you have been asking how you can help. We cannot express how grateful we are to have so many supportive and caring people in our lives. We decided to create this site as a vehicle for anyone who would like to help us. All of the money donated will be used to help pay for Indy's medical expenses.

No donation is too small. Every dollar counts.

Thank you all for your generosity, love and best wishes for Indy.

January 2012-- Indiana is doing fantastic! We have come such a long way thanks to the tremendous outpouring of love and support from all of you! He has only four more treatments to go until we are successfully in remission.

We couldn't have done it without the support of a community such as this. We cannot imagine having chosen any other course of treatment/non-treatment for Indy but this. He has responded so remarkably well and we couldn't be happier.

More importantly, Indiana couldn't be happier. He is just more playful than ever. Thank you all for making this possible and for giving Indy (and us) this precious gift.

Post-Thanksgiving

November 29th, 2011

Update as of November 29th, 2011

Thanks to the generous support and outpouring of love from all of our donors thus far, Indy has successfully undergone 7 weeks of chemotherapy at the Animal Medical Center. He is responding exceptionally well to his treatments! He has gained weight, is super playful and energetic, and enjoying his day-to-day life. We couldn't be more grateful to all of you. We are more than half way to our goal!

We would also like to say a special thanks to our dear friends, Mitch, Marissa, Blum, Alex, Bob and Steve Michael, along with their many generous friends, for the AMAZING pre-Thanksgiving fundraising dinner you organized and hosted for Indiana. We are immensely grateful for your friendship.

We have posted pics from that special night, when Indy was truly the star of the show!

Thank you all for your love and support.
