Hello Human Family,

Pepe Nute is our 7 month old puppy.  Of our three children, he is the only one with fur, but other than that considers himself to be the same as our 8 and 2 year old boys.  He goes everywhere with our family, including morning trips to drop his "brother" off at school. 

Last Wednesday morning, instead of hopping into the car as he normally does, he took off after a jogger.  Sadly, he was hit by a car.  We rushed him to Knowles Animal Clinic, and they were able to stabilize him.  While he has no internal injuries, he quite broken up.

His injuries include both hips out of socket, a pelvic fracture, and a fractured femur.  The veterinarian assures us that with surgery, he will recover and have a normal quality of life.  However, the cost is around $5000. We have paid $700 so far,  but  are pretty much out of funds for the actual surgery, and the clinic does not allow payment plans.

We are trying whatever we can to raise the money, as we are people of action, quick to give and do good deeds ourselves, and just want to save Pepe's life.  While we know he is "only a dog," he really is a member of our family, and he has already come this far.  The internet enables so many phenomenal ways to engage in microgiving, why not help save our puppy's life!  We will do whatever we can to pay it forward!
