Help Esti make it through chemotherapy and have children say Tehilllim (Psalms) for her and for your family with every donation. Please Help
The last time Esti came home from her chemotherapy, there was no heating in the house and only borrowed blankets. Friends and family have come together to help the Safrin family who have been stricken with 2 life threatening illnesses over the last 5 years that have left them praying for a cure while living below the poverty line. See video on left under "Related Links"
First it was Goldie, their 2nd child who was rushed to the hospital at 3 months old with a rare viral infection that attacks the heart. With barely a pulse, she was miraculously saved but had to spend many months in the hospital. After 2 1/2 years of treatments and medications, the family was in tremendous debt but was able to take a loan and start paying it back, until tragedy struck again.
This past summer, Esti was diagnosed with a tumor on her kidney. The kidney was removed, she went through daily radiation treatments and now is undergoing chemotherapy.
This family has nothing. Even the creditors who came from the bank to see what they can confiscate from the home to pay off their debt, left empty handed. There aren't even proper beds for the children. Their family is giving all that they could but it is just enough to keep them from going hungry and prevent them from being on the street.
Any average couple would break by now but they are not average people. Their strength and faith are an inspiration to us all, but we can no longer bare to see them living like this.
I am sure that many of the people that have come to this site have never seen a situation that exists in the Safrin home and we should all be protected from such tragedy. Usually these campaigns are geared for close friends and family of the beneficiary but they don't have that type of network. Yet all of Israel is united in time of need. Let us take 2 1/2 minutes to make any donation and make a difference in this young girl's life.
The prayers of children have a special place in the higher world where G-d looks down on us. For every $1000 raised, a group of children will finish the book of Tehillim (Psalms) on behalf of Esti and anyone who makes a donation. So feel free to leave your name with your contribution and benefit from the mitzvah of tzedaka (charity) and the tender prayers of Jewish children.

Esti's last treatments coming up.
March 19th, 2011
Esti has a few more treatments left and everyone is very hopeful. She is enjoying her new baby sister, which has helped take everyone's mind off the situation, more or less. They are still struggling financially beyond imagination. This is the last push to help them. Please, every donation is significant. If you have already made it to the site, please consider making a donation for Purim or even after to bring some joy in their lives.
One more week until the next Chemo treatment
January 30th, 2011
Esti has gotten over her last treatment and we are praying the next one will go easy. The first few days are hard but she pulls through. Anyway - there is a new baby girl in the house to uplift the atmosphere. Mazal Tov! Yes, its a girl. Born last week. Everyone is smiles but it's really tough when things settle down and no one is around. Let's spread this page around.
