UPDATE-Wendy has been diagnosed with MDS. Today, 12/12/11, she's having a donor stem cell translpant done. She'll have to be in the hospital for the next few weeks, then she'll be staying in an apartment near OHSU for a while. She won't be released to work for some time. Her children will be staying at home in Salem, with her oldest taking care of the two youngest. As of now, her Portland apartment is paid for. This fund will help pay her mortgage, house-related expenses, and any unforseen medical bills that are bound to come up. The generousity we've seen so far as been amazing and inspiring, and our family is so grateful! Every dollar counts! Aunt Wendy is one of the most special, caring and thoughtful people I know, not to mention the strongest, and her faith in God will help keep her that way.
