Nearly one million people lost their homes in the quake, forcing many to take refuge in temporary camps. Oxfam is trucking in water and providing sanitation for tens of thousands, but we have a responsibility to do more than just save lives. We must support people’s efforts to live with dignity. That means building latrines that provide privacy, and distributing family kits that help people meet their personal needs.
