The friends and family of Joe Serrapica are uniting to raise money to assist in his son's future.
Hello all. As you most likely know, Joe Serrapica passed away suddenly and tragically on November 15th of this year. Whether he was a dear friend, a former classmate, a fellow bowler, a co-worker, or just an acquaintance at some point, you will be very hard pressed to find anyone who has anything but the fondest memories of him, nor have I ever heard anyone with a negative thing to say about him. Even though he doesn't quite realize it yet, this loss will be ulitmately felt the hardest in the long run by his son, who will be just 3 years old in a few months. To help in some way to not only assist in providing for his future, but also to help him to know how much his dad meant to so many, there will be an Annual Joe Serrapica Memorial bowling tournament, the inaugural of which will be held Sunday December 18th at South Levittown Lanes. Half of the proceeds at minimum will go towards his son's future. Since quite a few people have asked me how to donate or contribute who can't make it there, or who live out of state, etc., I'm setting up this fundraising outlet as well. There is no real deadline or goal amount for this (those fields had to be populated to set it up....), but anyone who feels they can or would like to help out of course it would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Thanks, and Happy Holidays to all!
