Elvis works at Stones & Waves Veterinary Clinic in San Juan del Sur Nicaragua. After 2 1/2 years he has finally been given the opportunity of a lifetime - to run it all and to be trained as a certified vet technician.
Every year Stones & Waves Veterinary Clinic welcomes groups of volunteers from the World Vets Organization to provide spay/neuter services and veterinary care for its community. Unfortunately, when these volunteers are not present the veterinary clinic is very limited with the services it can provide.
Luckily for the animals of the community one promising individual has shown great enthusuam and eagerness to learn from the volunteer vets and techs that visit. Elvis Cortez continues to impress everyone by his dedication, fearlessness and heart.
Very shortly Elvis will be given the opportunity of his lifetime; to manage the clinic, coordinate these World Vets groups and the subsquent spay/neuter clinics meanwhile be trained as a vet technician.
As a nonprofit veterniary clinic donations do not provide sufficient compensation for Elvis. We are asking that you help make his dream a reality and in turn help empower more individuals just like him. The animals of San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua will be ever grateful for your contribution.
