THANK YOU FROM DANE!!!

So it's time for a big shout out to all of the wonderful people out there that have helped me. Many of you are friends/family/kind individuals....and all of your kind words and help are evident here and on the GiveForward page...you all kick ass and should know how much your actions are appreciated. You can support these bands/band dudes/organizations that used their visability and power to bring light to my story (I'll try to get as many as I can recall in here), they are obviously just people at the end of the day, and great people at that: All Shall Perish, Animals as Leaders, Anthrax, Cattle Decapitation, Carnifex, Cephalic Carnage, Death Angel, Forbidden, Havok, Nuclear Blast, Outerloop Management, Revocation, Sick Drummer Camp/Sick Drummer Magazine, The Summer Slaughter Tour/Sumerian Records, Testament...I'm sure I'm missing some but it is a good start. Support them and support our industry just as you have with me! Update to you all on the guy that did this: nothing new, this process is going as slow as I was warned it would be, happy that we live in a country where the accused are given due process though. Soon enough, justice will be served. I'm generally feeling a lot better, still getting headaches, but there is still a lot of healing to be done so I'm being patient. I don't look like that dude from "Mask" or anything, I'll have to put up a picture of my healed domepiece at somepoint here. At this point, my updates to you will be about, well, normal life. So many people care, and helped, I'm recovering and am already busy working on exciting new things....can't wait to share it with you! Thank you all, this dude right here feels blessed.

October 27th, 2011

Very good day! The Doc says that I won't need surgery on the eye socket! Will probably need some plastic surgery on the botched suture job on my forehead, but I can live with looking a little "rugged" for now, the stitches were ready to come out early.

Watching the Cards in the Series, relaxing, already looks like my time is booked up next year. So grateful to get back out and work as soon as I'm healed. Life is great, and is headed exactly where I want it to be. Its amazing that it has now only been one week today since the "event". This is a milestone I think I will look back upon favorably rather than not. Pat yourselves all on the back from keeping me from getting down, all the positive thoughts floating around in my noodle have had to had a major effect on it healing itself so fast. The power of thought is undeniable, and I haven't been stressing thanks to y'all. :-)

Hey everybody, I'm back at ma's house getting all the rest I need, my body seems to be healing more and more everyday. I meet with the surgeon tomorrow, if I don't have to go under the knife it is all recovery from here on out :-) My little sis is in town also now, and my old cat won't leave me alone, I'll take it :-) I visited my donation page and am just shocked at the love for me. I just got off the phone with Loana at Nuclear Blast and they were all worried about me, NB has always treated me like family and I appreciate all they are doing also. Hats off to you all, you are lifting what could have been such a financial burden to me and my family right off of our shoulders. I've always known my friends are the best, and aside from that the metal community has shown that they take care of their own like no other family in music. Truly amazing. Love heals all, thank you!

The doctor's appt. went well today, and I have been deemed travel ready and will be finishing my recovery with my Mother who has been worried sick, and kitty cat in Saint Louis! I leave on my first flight in a few hours.

My brain IS there, and looks alright :-) stitches come out in another week, chicks dig scars, right? I am trying a different pain medication to see if it can reduce side effects, as I am still battling major headaches as my fractures heal and the swelling subsides. I will be meeting with a specialist in Saint Louis to determine if I will require surgery to repair my orbital socket, fingers crossed.

None of these options would have been available without your help, I am so grateful to spend the rest of my recovery with Mom, because we all know that no one takes care of you like mom does.

The many positive actions this week so far outweigh the negative in my mind, that I can't help but look forward to getting healed and paying it back to others. I will be back in The Bay with all you crazy fuckers when I'm fully Dane again, and back out on the road with my brothers and sisters when duty calls. Thanks to my Uncle Brad, cousin Brandon, doctors, nurses, police, and friends in Denver for watching over me :-) I will welcome seeing my Saint Louis friends as soon as my body tells me I'm ready to do so, as I will be strictly following doctor's orders to give it the full opportunity to rest and recover as I have been.
