SplitScreen Entertainment, producers of the tribute albums "Kiss My Ankh" and "Whole Lotta Love," is coming to the aid of its friend and colleague, rock & roll comic C.C. Banana. A performer on both of its aforementioned tributes, C.C. Banana is best known for his humorous interviews with members of such legendary rock bands as Kiss, Poison, Cinderella, Quiet Riot and Twisted Sister. He's also interrogated his share of comic industry pros and "Star Wars" icons, including Joe Quesada, Phil Jimenez, Ray Park, Peter Mayhew and even George Lucas. C.C. was recently in the process of recording a solo album (in commemoration of his 10th anniversary) when his family was struck by severe financial hardship, brought on by the sudden decline of an ailing family member. As a result, he is now on the verge of losing the house he has lived in since birth.
In effort to save the family home, SplitScreen Entertainment is organizing a series of auctions on behalf of C.C. Banana, including autographed items from his rock & roll friends and heroes. Also being auctioned are many of C.C. Banana's own rock & roll treasures and pop culture collectibles, including rare and out-of-print CDs, DVDs, action figures, toys and assorted collector's items C.C. has acquired over the years. SplitScreen Entertainment will also be helping in its own way via proceeds from sales of its two albums featuring C.C. Banana. Fans wishing to donate directly may do so via GiveForward in exchange for various levels of rewards. SplitScreen Entertainment will deduct no administrative fees and every cent raised will go toward C.C. Banana's immediate financial concerns.
Donors who contribute in the amounts specified below will receive the following gifts as thanks for their contributions:
$50 - "Whole Lotta Love" cover art poster
$75 - "Kiss My Ankh" or "Whole Lotta Love" CD (donor's choice)
$150 - "C.C. Banana" or "Whole Lotta Love" shirt (donor's choice)
$300 - "Whole Lotta Love" poster, both CDs and shirt of donor's choice
$500 - "Whole Lotta Love" poster signed by 25 members of the talent roster (quantities limited, please inquire before donating)
$1000 - C.C. Banana will write and record a new song parody tailored to your very own specifications (see instructions at bottom)

If you choose to donate $1000 or more to this fundraiser, C.C. Banana will write and record a new song parody tailored to your very own specifications. You simply provide the info you'd like C.C. to incorporate into the lyrics and select from a list of songs available. C.C. Banana will then write a hilarious new song parody just for you, based on what you have provided him. Do you want him to tell your girlfriend that you love her, to the tune of "Talk Dirty To Me?" No problem! Do you want him to tell your ex-girlfriend she's a skank, to the music of "I Hate Myself for Loving You?" Even better! Maybe you have a great idea to rewrite "I Wanna Rock" to be about your prized geode collection, but you don't know how to make it work. Today is March 15th, the birthday of C.C. Banana! Coincidentally, it's also the birthday of Vallon DeVille Johannesson, the son of Poison guitarist C.C. DeVille (original inspiration for C.C. Banana, see photo). Plus it's the birthday of Poison lead singer Bret Michaels! It looks like C.C. DeVille can't escape the ides of March!
More importantly, since C.C. Banana has no birthday plans of his own this year due to his current crisis, please leave him a birthday message using the "Hugs" feature at right. This will be a really nice way of lifting his spirits and helping him feel closer to his friends. If you're also able to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts, that would be the best birthday gift of all. But even if you can't, please leave him a note and let him know you care.

Support of our efforts to help C.C. Banana continues to spread! Our newest ally is revered chatfest Talking Metal, the #1 hard rock/heavy metal podcast. Talking Metal has been a friend to C.C. Banana since its debut in 2005, when C.C. was a guest on their very first episode. Since then, hosts John Ostronomy and Mark Strigl have graciously invited him back time and time again, including an appearance on their TV show on the Fuse network. In the latest installment of this powerhouse podcast, Mark Strigl kicks off the show with an explanation of C.C. Banana's predicament and a request to its many listeners to help out if they can, citing the Banana's contributions to the show over the years. Best of all, several members of their listening audience have already done just that! We offer our sincerest thanks to Mark and Talking Metal for helping to spread word of our campaign to help C.C. through his crisis, and for always including him in the extended Talking Metal family. More establishments are signing on to help out C.C. Banana in his time of crisis. The most recent addition is respected retailer Midtown Comics, an industry leader in comic books, graphic novels and manga. C.C. has been a loyal customer and friend to the store since they opened and even conducts interviews with comic book creators for them at the annual New York Comic Con. Midtown recently posted the following message to its website, asking its many fans and followers to come to the aid of their friend C.C. Banana. It's a genuinely warm and touching post and we're extremely grateful to have them on board to further spread word of our efforts. We'd like to especially thank Midtown Comics mainstay G-Man for his personal dedication to the cause, and for his own monetary contribution. G-Man, you da man!
