The family and friends of Nicole Owens are uniting to raise money to help with her battle against ovarian and cervical cancer.

UPDATE: The deadline for this fundraiser has been moved from September 15, 2011 to August 30,2011. This will give Coley the help she needs to cover the initial cost of her surgery, which is due September 7, 2011. Thanks for your support and understanding!

Nicole, aka Coley, was diagnosed with ovarian and cervical cancer on July 15, 2011. Coley is 38, has two children, Kelsi and Nick, and lives in Kettering.

Coley, unfortunately, does not get health insurance through her work and this is making getting the care she needs difficult. Her doctors tell her she has 40 tumors in her uterus and she needs surgery. It is scheduled for September 15, but she must have enough money upfront.

Once her doctors are able to operate, they will tell her whether or not she will need further treatment.
