Celebrate #GivingTuesday with your Fundraiser

#GivingTuesday is December 2nd, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. In the wake of consumer-driven Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it’s a day dedicated to giving back (and forward, if you will). Obviously, the heart of this holiday resonates well with your GiveForward Fundraiser!

On Giving Tuesday, we recommend taking these 3 steps to rally your community around your Fundraiser:

  1. Make a GiveForward Update to announce Giving Tuesday as an annual celebration of giving back.

Describe why giving to your Fundraiser is more meaningful than free shipping on a FurReal Friends Get Up & GoGo My Walkin’ Pup Pet. Be sure to share the Update with your Supporters, too!

  2.  Email your contacts with messaging reflecting your Update. They (and you) will get lots of promotional emails around that time, so personalization is key. Say something like,

Today’s Giving Tuesday, a global holiday dedicated to giving back. While we’re all busy trimming our trees and finding mall parking, it’s important to stop and take care of each other. I’m running an online Fundraiser on GiveForward to make a difference this year. If you can give a gift or spread the word with me, I’d be very grateful: [Paste your GiveForward link here].
    Happy Giving Tuesday!

  3. Challenge your Facebook friends to participate in Giving Tuesday. Post a status like,

Today’s #GivingTuesday, a global holiday dedicated to giving back. I’m making an impact by giving to a @GiveForward Fundraiser: [Paste your GiveForward link here]. I challenge @Danny and @Katie to #GiveForward, too!

Thanks for living #GivingTuesday’s mission through your Fundraiser!

Whose world will you change?
