The American Friends Service Committee carries out service, development, social justice, and peace programs throughout the world.

The Chicago AFSC office implements various programs in peace and social justice. They include the Middle East Program which works to create awareness and support for social change initiatives for a just settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the Peacebuilding Program which works locally, statewide, and nationally to highlight the human and economic cost of war through exhibits, actions and events, the Truth in Recruitment Program which seeks to expose the harsh realities of military service and refute false information provided by military recruiters and advertising, and the Taxi Worker Organizing Project which seeks a more cohesive voice for immigrant taxi drivers over their own working conditions through mutual support, collective action and a formal association of drivers.

Hugs for AFSC Peace Warriors.
