I am fundraising to be able to get knee replacment surgery, so that I will be able to walk normally to see my son at his homecoming from deployment with the USMC.

I have run out of any options, until i saw an ad in the USA today paper for this website.  I have been putting off the surgery, so that my wife could finish school.  Well she finished school, and like numerous people out ther, she is unable to find work.  So we are rlying on my income to survive.  I have been laid off three times this year, and fourtunatley, they called me back.  Being laid off drained the savings.

I am forcing myself to work,  The pain gets really bad after about three hours, yet I push on.  I am so miserable by the weekend, I cant even see my children perform at the halftime shows (band).  My daughter always says "its ok dad, I understand",  and it tears me apart because i know she wants me there.

I am trying to raise money to have the surgery, and be able to cover expenses while recovering.  I want to see me daughter perform, and I really want to be able to WALK PROUDLY up to my Marine when he lands, and give him a hug, and say welcome home !!
