Our fundraiser is for our friend Chris Huard. He was diagnosed with Stage Four Colorectal Cancer in June. He is scheduled for surgery Jan. 14. He and his family could use our help with his medical bills and other expenses while he is unable to work.

My friend of more than 20 years, Chris Huard, was diagnosed with Stage Four Colorectal Cancer in June 2009.

He is a waiter and has not missed a shift since his diagnosis. He even worked while going through six weeks of chemo and radiation treatments. This is out of necessity. He is the main breadwinner for his family.

Chris will have surgery on Jan 14th 2010 and will not be able to work at this stage of his treatment. Our goal is to raise enough money to help him with his medical bills and/or his rent and utilities during this difficult time.

I hope we can give Chris some peace of mind as he walks into the hospital for this very important and necessary procedure. Chris will be in the hospital recovering for a full week and it would be great if all his focus could be on getting better at this crucial stage of his treatment.
